The Edwards Metropolitan District has almost completed night-sky compliant pedestrian lighting along Miller Ranch Road.
The road was very dark after sunset and concerns were voiced regarding children walking to afterschool programs, Battle Mountain students and staff walking home after dark, and high school cross country teams practicing in the early morning hours. Others were concerned due to the impacts on climate change by driving to events (school plays, band concerts, football games, etc.) when the proximity is favorable to walking but the darkness was a deterrent.
Edwards Metropolitan District (the "District") is committed to ensuring that its services are accessible to all
